Coalition For Kids annual Christmas event, Shopping 4 Others, is scheduled for Thursday December 10!

Children are often so focused on the getting part of Christmas that they miss the beauty of giving.  Shopping 4 Others is a creative way to ensure our Coalition children are getting the things they need...clothes, shoes, socks, coats...while providing an opportunity to experience giving through a gift they choose for someone else.

 

Taking place at Walmart (Browns Mill Rd in Johnson City), the whole experience takes place in approximately two hours but just like the Coalition children who remember the volunteer they shopped with the previous year and want to shop with again, you will remember the child who walked through the store with you long after the evening is over.

 

You can be involved in this magical experience in several ways:

 

Giving a gift of $100 to scholarship a Coalition child's participation.

Volunteering two hours of your time on December 12th to shop with a child.

Giving both a financial gift and volunteering your time.

For the safety of our Coalition kids, we require all of our S4O volunteers to complete a new

Volunteer Application every year, and submit to a background check.
